HIP HOP superstar Jay-Z is to play a one-off live gig at the Roundhouse, it was announced today.
The rapper - and Mr Beyonce - will hit the Camden venue on 17 September, with a show plugging his upcoming album The Blueprint 3.
His new single, Run This Town, featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, has hit number three in the US charts and was released in the UK yesterday.
The Roundhouse gig comes ahead of planned dates with Coldplay at Wembley Stadium on 18 and 19 September.
Tickets costing £50 go on sale at 9am this Friday at www.livenation.co.uk
Said Jay-Z of the new album - the third in a trilogy: “Blueprint pays homage to the soul music our parents played [and] recognises that there is a generation of us that are influencing the next wave of artists. The album lays the groundwork for what can happen next."
